Trauma Interrupted is deeply personal to Jan.
As a survivor, advocate, and author, Jan has spent much of her life helping others understand how abuse happens, how trauma impacts us, and most importantly, how healing is possible. Through this podcast, Jan has the privilege of sitting down with survivors, experts, educators, therapists, law enforcement professionals, advocates, and everyday people whose stories and experiences can help others feel less alone.
The podcast is produced by the Jan Broberg Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to abuse prevention, survivor support, healing, and advocacy. Together, JBF is working to create safer communities through education and open conversations that break silence and build safety.
What began as sharing Jan's own story has grown into a community of listeners from all walks of life—survivors, parents, educators, therapists, nonprofit leaders, child protection professionals, and advocates who are committed to making a difference. With more than 250 episodes and over 100,000 downloads, JBF continues to reach people seeking hope, understanding, and practical tools for healing and prevention.
The conversations explore trauma recovery, child safety, grooming awareness, resilience, mental wellness, survivor empowerment, and the many pathways toward healing. JBF believes education is one of the most powerful tools for prevention and that sharing stories can help transform pain into purpose.
The Jan Broberg Foundation welcome partnerships with organizations and businesses that share our commitment to wellness, education, family support, personal growth, and positive social impact. Above all, we value authenticity and seek partnerships that genuinely serve and support our audience.
